Environmental Stewardship Task Force
The Task Force Committee shall:
Help coordinate and lead efforts within First Christian Church toward education and action in the area of environmental stewardship. It is the charge of this committee that the Alverna Creed which states, ?The Earth is the Lord?s, Take Care,? is a Christian responsibility and obligation and presents a challenge to all people of faith.
This committee does outreach into the community at large on issues such as recycling, clean air and clean water, habitat protection, and appreciation of God?s creation, and promotes environmentally sustainable life styles.
Environmental Stewardship Taskforce endeavors to reach these goals through Earth Day activities, public forums, recycling pick-up at the Church, efforts such as Ten Thousand Villages and Alternative Gift Markets.
